Members of the Ottawa Rotary Club recently gathered at the Proulx Sugar Bush and Berry Farm to enjoy the classic Canadian experience of fresh spring air and maple syrup.

Defying the weather forecast, a sunny and beautiful day greeted members of the Ottawa Rotary Club at the Proulx Sugar Bush and Berry Farm.  Members gathered to celebrate the bounty of the maple forest, and its associated treats.  It was a rare opportunity to meet in person, given covid restrictions.  “We really wanted to celebrate spring,” said Fabiana Nobel, Chair of the Fellowship Committee.  “The winter’s been long, and we wanted to do something authentically Canadian.”

Traditional sugar bush favourites such as maple pie, pancakes, eggs, sausages, and oven roasted beans were offered. After the meal, a walk and ride via horse-drawn wagon capped off the afternoon.
