In a collaborative project with Right To Play, we –
along with six Rotary Clubs – raised funds to renovate a housing complex

project by funding sports equipment needed by the 26,500 IDP and street
children participating in the Juba SportWorks program.

We continued our support of fishing communities
devastated by the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami. Joined by the Rotary Club of
Colombo Metropolitan and six Ottawa-area Rotary clubs, we purchased
fishing canoes and nets for 54 fisher families in Trincomalee, and
recently laid the cornerstone for the Ottawa Rotacentre, a community
centre in Paiyagala.
