Uganda WASH Project

This project is a water and sanitation project in northern Uganda which targets over 6000 of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in Uganda.  A large part of the target population is youth as the project is centred on educational institutions.  It was a large project with a total budget of almost US$450,000 raised through Rotary in Uganda, Canada and the US.  The Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar was the primary international sponsor.  Our contribution of C$2625 was multiplied with matching grants from Rotary International to a total of $8750.  The project is now complete and has officially been turned over to the communities.  and appears poised to achieve its objectives of better water, sanitation and health for all in the two target communities.  The results of this project can be viewed on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1Xt9aWSyj4.
